I cannot receive email from a particular person! Our Email Policy

In our effort to combat spam in your email box there are policies put in place to receive email on our email system. The following are policies which the sender's email server must meet before our server accepts email.

1. The sending email server must pass, ZEN RBL (http://www.spamhaus.org/zen) and SpamCop RBL (http://www.spamcop.net) black lists. If you are on the one of these black lists, odds are your email server is known for sending out spam. The sender will generally have issues sending emails to other domains as well since checking these lists are common email server practice.

2. The sender's email address domain must have a Sender Policy Framework (SPF) DNS record. For more information, visit http://www.openspf.org.

3. The sender's email server must have Reverse DNS (rDNS) Lookup capabilities enabled. For more information, visit http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reverse_DNS_lookup.

4. Be RFC2821 4.1.1.1 compliant. For more information, visit http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc2821#section-4.1.1.1.

5. Pass SpamAssassin's verification.

The outline policies and procedures are common practice and will result in other email not being received by other individuals as well. Please instruct the sender to their email provider to address concerns with their email servers.

IF NECESSARY, we can white list individuals to bypass these policies only on special circumstances. Please submit a support ticket if this is necessary. We retain the right to deny the request if it poses a large enough threat to our email servers.
